Are you struggling with back pain, neck pain or soreness?
Do you spend many hours sitting at a desk or driving?
It's likely that your POSTURE is a big part of the problem.
Why is excellent posture important to you?
At a job interview, first date or presenting to potential clients, don't you want to appear confident, decisive or friendly? Upright and flexible posture conveys exactly that information through our body language - before you've even said a word!
At the end of a long day's work don't you want to enjoy your evening without taking painkillers? Don't you want to be able to get out of a chair without aches and stiffness? When your body is strong and mobile with an upright posture, then you'll be able to sit during your working hours without aches or pain. More than that, your body will have the vigour, energy and strength for you to enjoy your leisure time in the evening and weekends.
Why is excellent posture important to me as a healthcare professional?
Because I know that poor posture is associated with increase in blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, cardiovascular disease, changes in hormone production and reduced lung capacity. In other words, poor posture is associated with illness. Excellent posture is associated with health.
