Vibrant World has recently started to support the charity TreeSisters, which plants forests in the tropics.

From May 2021 Vibrant World will donate 2% of sales to TreeSisters.

That’s two trees for each NSA entrainment, or seven and a half trees for Anatomy in Motion.

Why support reforestation in other countries and not at home? 

Because trees in the tropics grow much more quickly.  A sapling planted today can in one year grow to five foot and be producing seeds for more trees.   Tropical trees sequester carbon three to nine times faster than temperate trees. 

Why sisters?

The charity works with local groups and communities to involve them in planting trees.  Often it is women who are employed planting trees: most trees are indigenous, but other trees will produce a cash crop like seeds or fruit.  Those same women will later sell the crops to generate still more income having a profound impact on their families’ health and wealth.

 Can we be restorers?

Our purchase decisions can turn us into ‘restorers’ of the planet’s resources - rather than ‘consumers’.  Whether that’s about air miles, plastic wrapping or mending rather than throwing away.  While women make up to 85% of purchasing decisions in the home, the invitation to become restorers is open to us all.
